Things You Will Need:
- Squeegee (felt edged )
- Exacto knife or small bladed utility knife (a regular utility knife might work but will be a challenge around tight curves)
- A helper, not required but it definitely helps
Steps:
- Wipe down cabinet, try to remove any dust. Sweep up the floor under the cabinet as well to keep dust from sucking up under decal while you’re applying it.
- Carefully unroll graphics, lay on a flat surface and weigh down if they are trying to curl up on you.
- Once they are laying flat, pick a side and tear the top 4 inches of the back liner off to expose adhesive
- Place graphic on the side panel in its approximate location. Look at bottom edge and sides to see if they are properly aligned. Feel through graphic to find your T-Molding You should have printed graphics over all edges. If not, have someone hold the decal where it should be at the bottom of the cab and peel the top of the decal off the cabinet and reposition until the graphic hangs properly on the cabinet.
- Once you are fine with the graphics location and all edges have graphic bleeding off the edges of the T-Mold, Roll your graphics up toward where the part of your decal is applied to the cabinet.
Peel back a portion of the liner from underneath the rolled up graphics exposing more adhesive.
With your squeegee, press the graphic to the cabinet and work any bubbles out as you go. Peel liner straight down the cabinet in sections and squeegee them out you work down the cabinet. Try not to pull the graphic around too much, it should just roll right on. - Once the decal is completely applied to the cabinet, squeegee around the edges of the decal when the T-Mold is, making sure these areas are pressed down as best as possible.
- Using the T-Mold as a guide, carefully cut the graphic to the cabinet. Slowly and steady wins the race here as it is easy to cut your T-Mold or cut into your graphic
- Repeat steps 3-7 for the other side.
