Overview
This support article explains how to optimize the X-Force Haptics Kit for the best possible pinball experience in Pinball FX VR.
This guide is based on extensive real-world testing and tuning by Jared Morgan and Chris Friebus, owners and hosts of the Blahcade Pinball Podcast.

We sincerely thank Jared and Chris for their significant contribution to the pinball haptics community and for sharing their recommended settings with X-Arcade users.
How the X-Force Haptics Kit Works
The X-Force Haptics Kit uses sound-driven haptics (often referred to as SSF / Surround Sound Feedback):
Game audio is sent to speakers for sound output
That same audio signal is used to generate physical vibration through the haptics system
Because haptics are audio-driven, in-game audio settings directly affect haptic strength, clarity, and realism
Correct audio tuning is essential for achieving a realistic pinball feel.
The Goal of Audio Optimization
Proper audio balance ensures the virtual table behaves like a real mechanical pinball machine:
Ball movement, flippers, bumpers, and slingshots produce clear, responsive haptic feedback
Background music and cinematic effects do not overpower physical table feedback
Vibrations feel mechanical and precise, not muddy or constantly rumbling
Well-tuned audio allows the haptics to communicate gameplay detail rather than just noise.
Recommended Tuning Philosophy (Important)
Audio mixes vary significantly from table to table. For best results, per-table tuning is strongly recommended.
Based on Blahcade’s testing:
Prioritize mechanical sounds
Physics, ball movement, and table effects should be strong enough to clearly drive the haptics
Lower background music and non-essential effects
Music should enhance immersion without masking physical feedback
Tune each table individually
Avoid relying on a single global setting for all tables
These recommendations are meant as a baseline, not a strict rule. Personal preference, room acoustics, and mounting methods may require further fine-tuning.
Blahcade Recommended Audio Settings (Primary Reference)
The main purpose of this support article is to direct users to the official Blahcade-created reference document containing detailed, table-by-table audio settings.
This document includes:
In-game audio settings for individual tables
Physics, SFX, music, and voice balancing
X-Force Haptics control panel references (VIB / AUD)
Separate tuning approaches for different pinball series

Note:
These settings reflect what feels best to the Blahcade team based on extensive testing. They are not the only valid configuration, but they provide an excellent starting point for optimizing the X-Force Haptics Kit.
Credit & Thanks
